Weight limit (LT) is how much you can carry before you're forced to dump loot or stop. More weight = fewer trips to a storage NPC or horse, which directly means more grinding or gathering time. Sounds like a must-buy. It isn't — for everyone.
What weight limit actually does
Every pack adds a flat LT chunk (commonly in 50–150 LT steps). At a grind spot you'll hit the cap when loot piles up; at a gathering node the same thing happens with raw materials. The pain is 'dead time' walking to dump. Weight removes that dead time.
The free weight you're missing
- Weight scrolls (often from events, login rewards, or cheap on the market).
- Contribution-point weight nodes you may not have unlocked yet.
- Knowledge / exploration bonuses that add small but free LT.
- The free pets-and-maid conveniences that reduce how often you 'need' to carry everything at once.
A new player who hasn't touched weight nodes is leaving free LT on the table. Fix that before opening the Pearl Shop.
The spend-level verdict
| You | Buy weight? | How much |
|---|---|---|
| F2P | ✕ Skip | Use free scrolls + nodes |
| Casual grinder | ◐ Maybe | Moderate, not maxed |
| Active grinder / life-skill | ✓ Yes | Enough to stop constant dumping |
| Whale | ✓ Max | Permanent convenience |
The common mistake
Buying the maximum weight on day one as a returning player who isn't even grinding yet. You've spent pearls on capacity you'll never fill. Buy weight when you feel the cap biting during a session — that's the signal it's worth it.
Rule of thumb: Weight is a 'buy when it hurts' item, not a 'buy because it's there' item. Free sources cover more than most players realize.
